BARE suspends production on SB SYSTEM drysuits

BARE has suspended production on their promising, stretchable and breathable SB SYSTEM drysuit. This drysuit was a ScubaGadget’s award winner for best new technology for 2011 and a ScubaLab 2011 Testers’ Choice. A wrongful death suit against DIVE RITE (et al) was filed on July 18th by Terri Skiles, wife of the late world renown underwater photographer and pioneer cave diver Wes Skiles. PRODUCT SAFETY RECALL: Miflex High Pressure Braided Scuba Diving Hoses

XS Scuba, in conjunction with Miflex and in cooperation with United States CPSC and Health Canada has initiated a voluntary recall of Miflex high pressure braided scuba diving hoses. The recall covers around 17,000 hoses sold between May 2009 and April 2012. There have been 189 reports of failures, but no associated injuries. OTS Full Face Mask OLD RECALL showing as new on CPSC site and email notices.

The product recall notice (below) was recently posted by the Consumer Product Safety Commission CSPC and dated March 22, 2011. However the actual recall was instituted last year by Ocean Technology Systems (OTS) and the CPSC.
