XS Scuba, in conjunction with Miflex and in cooperation with United States CPSC and Health Canada has initiated a voluntary recall of Miflex high pressure braided scuba diving hoses. The recall covers around 17,000 hoses sold between May 2009 and April 2012. There have been 189 reports of failures, but no associated injuries. The product recall notice (below) was recently posted by the Consumer Product Safety Commission CSPC and dated March 22, 2011. However the actual recall was instituted last year by Ocean Technology Systems (OTS) and the CPSC.
