When I wanted to sell my timeshare, I quickly realized I was stuck deep underwater without any scuba gear. Then I found Transfer Smart, and traded in timeshare maintenance fees for scuba gadgets instead!

Have you had a whiff of those canals in summer?

Be the first in your dive club to dive Venice. Not the California muscle beach but the real Venice in Italy; the one with those canals that stink on a hot day. It turns out that a pleasant side effect of some barriers, which were erected accross three channels accessing the lagoon to protect the city from flood tides, has been an artifical reef with over 150 species of fish. Sightings also include, cuttlefish, starfish, crabs, jellyfish, molluscs and sponges. I doubt many will go there just to dive, but it could be a marrige saver for a history buff with a diving spouse. We did find one shop listed on an Italy Dive centers list that advertised diving in Venice, however the web site for Serenissima Diving (http://www.serenissimadiving.com/) was down when we checked. If you go, have been there, let us know. (first reported on http://www.scubaherald.com/)
