"New" scuba podcast already gone.
It was just months ago that we reported on and naively hoped the “new” Scuba Board Show podcast would live up to the promised two shows a month (see our Oct 2009 article for details). We reported then that, “Most podcasts make those promises and never keep them for long.” Alas, The Scuba Board Show followed suit, lasting only seven shows.
After weeks of wondering and waiting for a reply from the show’s producers we just got the official word today. Jill Heinerth wrote, “The ScubaBoard Show is on hiatus. In this shaky economy, we are trimming projects that are not economically feasible. We are focusing on creative projects that are currently monetized.”
We morn for the show’s short life because it was one of the better scuba podcasts ever produced. We also sympathise because we know how hard it is to put aside billable hours to do the work necessary to publish the Scuba Gadget articles. We hope they return someday.
In the October article we also mentioned that the Joe Cocozza’s Pod Diver Radio was also on hiatus. He promised a return after the November elections. It is still missing.
