Baggage Fee Update

Call me fussy but I, like you, find the new airline baggage policies annoying. Paying for extra baggage! Here are some things you should know about these new policies with the three major U.S. airlines:

American Airlines: If you bought your domestic tickets on or after June 15, 2008, expect to pay $15 each way for the first checked bag and $25 each way for the second one. This is for U.S and Canada service (including Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands)

United Airlines: If you bought your domestic tickets on or after June 13, 2008, and will be traveling on or after August 18, 2008, you’ll pay $15 each way for the first checked bag and $25 each way for the second. Same destinations as above apply.

U.S. Airways: All tickets purchased after July 9th will pay $25 each way for the second checked bag no matter where you travel.
